We get involved - the district youth work of AWO Mittelrhein

We are politically active and support the interests of children and young people. With lots of fun and creativity.

The Bezirksjugendwerk (District Youth Foundation) Mittelrhein was re-founded in 2019 by the delegates of the youth welfare offices in Leichlingen and Erftstadt, whereby the two youth welfare offices optimally complement each other in their offerings:

While the Leichlingen Local Youth Foundation (OJW) is mainly concerned with holiday camps and educational trips, the OJW Erftstadt takes care of holiday games on site.

Currently, the district youth services include the district and local youth services in Leichlingen and Erftstadt. All persons between 7 and 30 years can become members. The board of the Bezirksjugendwerk consists of the chairmen Luisa Bonfiglio and Marius Brüggendiek. The assessor is Tobias Siefen.

The district youth organisation of the AWO Mittelrhein, together with three other district youth organisations, is a member of the state youth organisation of the AWO NRW.

State Youth Foundation AWO NRW

In all its activities, the Youth Foundation is committed to the values of democratic socialism: freedom, justice, solidarity, equality, tolerance and emancipation. In these values the Youth Foundation sees the basic prerequisite for a dignified life.

Due to the Corona crisis the holiday camp in Sant Pere Pescador, Spain, will unfortunately not take place from 26.06. to 09.07.2020.
