Developing young people and offering support to parents - the AWO's educational assistance
Together with the children and young people and their families we find ways out of difficult educational situations.
Children and young people develop, they find their own way. Families develop. Always dependent on external and internal circumstances. Parents and relatives who raise their children together or alone deal with many challenges in a safe and constructive way. However, there are conflicts, crises and difficult living conditions that families are powerless to face.
Reasons can be that the housing conditions are inadequate, life is impaired by unemployment, mental or physical illness or the parents experience a difficult separation. Behavioural problems of young people at home or at school, lack of prospects or traumatic experiences can also put a strain on a situation. In such situations, we provide families with advice and help them to create positive life situations - always with the welfare of the child or adolescent in mind.
The Sommerberg AWO Betriebsgesellschaft mbH offers individual solutions for this. Together with those affected and in close cooperation with the youth welfare office, we develop new ways and perspectives oriented towards the needs of the families:

- Outpatient help
The ambulant help takes place directly in the family.
- Day-care help
The socio-pedagogical and supportive care takes place during the school day in our daily offers.
- In-patient help
With in-patient help, the children and young people move into an assisted living facility.
