The AWO am Mittelrhein is at home in the middle of Germany and offers around 600 facilities and services in all areas of social work.

From Aachen to Gummersbach and from Heinsberg to the Eifel, the AWO on the Middle Rhine spans a dense network of help. With over 8,000 employees, around 4,500 volunteers and 21,700 members, the AWO Bezirksverband Mittelrhein with its 7 district associations, the regional association and 184 local associations is always near to the people - no matter whether we are needed in a rural border region or in a modern city.

  • 97 open all-day care facilities for around 10,700 school chlidren

  • 35 Services for people with disabilities

  • 30 Services for people with migration background

  • 27 facilities for inpatient care of the elderly for approx. 2,800 people

  • 14 social stations and outpatient services
