Making integration effective - our work for a diverse society
The AWO lives solidarity and understands diversity as a socio-political opportunity.
A major concern of the AWO is the improvement of living situations and the participation of people with a migration background. Living inclusive moments and interculturalism - our specialist service Integration and Migration consistently implements the task of structural integration work set by the NRW Ministry of Labour, Integration and Social Affairs.
With our specialist migration service, we advise, inform and support people in several languages. With our integration agency we fight for social and political participation. With our events, we are part of an extensive and active network.
In 2017, the integration agency of the AWO Mittelrhein with the migration counselling and youth migration service moved to Amsterdamer Straße 232 in 50735 Cologne-Niehl. It also maintains an Intercultural Centre at Rösrather Straße 2-16 in 51107 Köln-Ostheim.
