Stadtradeln 2026
A fantastic achievement!
We are incredibly proud of our fantastic AWO teams!
During Stadtradeln our staff cycled an impressive 3,603.7 kilometres for the environment. Every kilometre shows just how important sustainability and an environmentally conscious lifestyle are to us.
Our top five cyclists are from AWO Der Sommerberg, the AWO Marie-Juchacz Centre and our Bezirksverband. Together, they cycled over 2,852.80 kilometres. A fantastic achievement!
The prize for our top cyclists: a 50-Euro voucher each for cycling gear.
🏅 1st place: Uwe B. with 829.1 km – 135.97 kg / CO₂ saved
🏅 2nd place: Florian J. with 592 km – 97,09 kg / CO₂ saved
🏅 3rd place: Claudia L. with 555.3 km – 91.07 kg / CO₂ saved
🏅 4th place: Ibrahim K. with 480.2 km – 78.75 kg of CO₂ avoided
🏅 5th place: Stefan M. with 396.2 km – 64.98 kg of CO₂ avoided

On Sunday, 5 July 2026, we once again took part in the ColognePride march together under our AWO slogan ‘Diversity with Heart’. We were delighted that so many of you joined us on the streets to stand up for diversity, respect and solidarity.
A heartfelt thank you to all the participants who created a fantastic atmosphere with their colourful outfits, glitter, and rainbow and AWO flags. Our special thanks go to the organisers, our colleagues at AWO GESA and from our Bezirksverband, who made this day possible through their great dedication.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
AWO Cup
A day of sport filled with team spirit and a great atmosphere
What a lovely day! On 9 September 2026, the group-wide AWO Cup took place at Fühlinger See, and once again this year the focus was on team spirit, sporting ambition and, above all, having fun together.
Although a few clouds rolled in at the start, the sun soon came out, providing us with perfect conditions for a thoroughly successful day.
A big congratulations goes to our top three finishers:
🥇 1st place: AWO Marie-Juchacz Centre
🥈 2nd place: AWO Kennedypark Senior Citizens’ Centre, run by AWO GESA
🥉 3rd place: Walter-Heckmann AWO Senior Citizens’ and Social Centre Herzogenrath, run by AWO GESA
A huge thank you goes to our dedicated organisers, who put their heart and soul into ensuring the day was a success. And, of course, as every year, the delicious food was a highlight.
Once again this year, the AWO Cup has shown just how much energy and community spirit there is within our AWO.
