Stadtradeln 2025
We are incredibly proud of our fantastic AWO teams!
Together, our employees cycled an impressive 7,522.90 kilometres for the environment during the city cycling event for the municipality of Cologne. In the process, 1,233.65 kg of CO2 were avoided. Every kilometre shows how important sustainability and an environmentally conscious lifestyle are to us.
Our top 5 come from AWO der Sommerberg and the district association, together they cycled over 4,200 kilometres - a fantastic achievement!
The prize for our top cyclists: a €50 voucher each for cycling equipment.
🏅 1st place: Uwe B. with 1,060.9 km - 174 kg CO2 avoidance
🏅 2nd place: Christin H. 1,004.7 km - 164.8 kg CO2 avoidance
🏅 3rd place: Ibrahim K. 850.5 km - 139.5 kg CO2 avoidance
🏅 4th place: Florian J. 769.0 km - 126.1 kg CO2 avoidance
🏅 5th place: Sonja R. 585.6 km - 96 kg CO2 avoidance

CSD
Once again this year, we took part in the ColognePride CSD demonstration in July under the motto ‘Diversity with heart’. LGBTIQ* rights are not only human rights, but also deeply linked to AWO values. At the same time, the parade is an important symbol of equality in our society.
Our dedicated colleagues from AWO GESA once again provided the organisation, music, snacks and drinks in 2025. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks!
AWO Cup
One of the big highlights: The AWO Cup will take place again in 2025. After AWO Seniorenzentrum Süssendell lifted the trophy last year, we are excited to see who will win it this year.
It starts on 10 September 2025 in the afternoon. The venue will once again be Fühlinger See in Cologne. The teams can look forward to many great disciplines.
